case studies, learnings, networking, and sharing lessons.
An MBA student breaking down marketing and advertising — one brand at a time.
Hi, I’m Malav.
MBA student at IBS Jaipur. Marketing nerd. Occasional chess player who spends more time thinking about brand strategy than openings.
I write about advertising campaigns, brand audits, and whatever I’m learning as someone trying to figure out marketing in real time.

Brands I’m Obsessed With
01
Comet

Competing on meaning, not price. Every drop tells a cultural story. They found the gap Nike couldn’t enter and budget brands couldn’t reach. Then walked right in.
02
Titan

One parent. Six sub-brands. Each with its own voice and customer. Most conglomerates lose control or go too tight. Titan somehow does neither.
03
Godrej

127 years old and still rebranding. Trust isn’t inherited — it’s maintained. Godrej knows that better than almost anyone.
Why I created this Website?!
I built Malav Markets because I’m in the middle of figuring it out —
and I wanted a place to document it honestly. I’m an MBA student, not a CMO. But I pay close attention, I write about what I actually see, and I don’t pretend to know more than I do.
-
01 – Real campaign breakdowns, not theory
I don’t explain what a marketing funnel is. I break down actual campaigns — what the brief probably was, what the creative did, and why it worked or didn’t. Less textbook, more dissection.
-
02 — No fake expertise
I’m learning in public. That means some posts will be sharp, some will be half-formed, and I’ll occasionally be wrong. I’d rather be honest about that than perform confidence I don’t have.
-
03 — Indian brands, Indian context
Western marketing case studies dominate the internet. I’m more interested in what Titan, Blinkit, and Comet are doing — and why it works specifically for an Indian audience.
